WWJC Publicity - ‘Club of the Week 2010’

This summer we hope to continue the weekly slot from last year in the Hampshire Chronicle focusing on individual clubs. This will require the club designated for that week to email a short report on their club by Tuesday 1800 each week.

This year we would like to start with clubs setting out initiatives they are taking / have taken to broaden participation in cricket in their area. Hence the clubs selected for the first 7 weeks have this as their ‘specialist subject’.

Thereafter the club can either focus on such initiatives or on achievements within the club - be they team, individual or club wide achievements.

The reason for the limited scope for the first 7 clubs is that early in the season we anticipate the scope for ‘achievements’ will be less.

Aim for approx 300 words; Dave may edit down but no drastic changes. Where there are 2 clubs listed, we will ask the Chronicle to publish both. The Hampshire Chronicle WILL ONLY PUBLISH WITH A PHOTO WHICH MUST BE JPEG FORMAT.

Please make sure your parents have given permission for photos to be used; Dave will assume permission has been granted if you send him an image.

Below is a rota - it sets out which club is expected to submit a report to Dave no later than 18.00 on the Tuesday each week:
