Bishops Waltham

Bishop’s Waltham Cricket Club is a friendly, progressive, community cricket club founded in c1770.

Players of all abilities from 5 years onwards are always warmly welcomed.

BWCC is a ClubMark accredited club situated on the outskirts of Bishops Waltham with 4 adult teams in the Hampshire Cricket League, an Evening League side, a Sunday Friendly X1 and 2 teams in the Winchester and District Indoor League.

We also have 4 Colts Teams: the U9’s, U11’s, U13’s and U15’s where children learn the game, improve their skills through weekly training sessions and have fun competing in regular fixtures throughout the summer. We run winter training sessions indoors from January to April.

New for 2017 is the introduction of the ECB’s All Stars which provides children from five to eight years old with eight weeks of non-stop cricketing fun. Here’s the link: https://ecb.clubspark.uk/AllStars/Course/26109756-96e9-465f-b0c1-5f4e2082009b

For 20 years we have organised a ‘Kwik-Cricket’ tournament for local junior schools and have hosted the competition at Albany Road, our main ground. This is an award-winning ground in a tranquil setting with grass pitches, an artificial wicket, two outdoor practice nets, club room and bar. The overall facilities have been rated as ‘Good’ by visiting league captains and we regularly host junior county and district games, including disability cricket.

We are also very fortunate to have a new second ground, The Holt at Upham, ready for the start of the 2017 season and we are very excited to be playing at this beautiful ground.

New members are always welcome at Bishop’s Waltham Cricket Club. Come and get involved with a successful community club, as a player, official, volunteer or spectator.
We look forward to welcoming you!
