Ropley Cricket Club is a long established village club in the heart of Hampshire. During the summer months the cricket club is the centre-piece of village life.

The club welcomes all new members and spectators will always receive a warm reception.

Ropley cricket club’s mission is to provide cricketing opportunities for all members of the community. We seek to provide a club where all ages and all abilities can develop their skills in a friendly welcoming environment. We are an equal opportunities club and support all ECB’s policies and guidelines. We have included a statement of Inclusion and Diversity in our Club Rules.

Since that time the club has become even bigger and better. We have a junior section, women’s teams and other sports are allowed to use our playing fields as long as they keep off the grass!

Ropley Cricket Club has successfully achieved Sport England’s Clubmark accreditation, which is awarded to clubs by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Clubmark is a cross-sport recognition of sports clubs that are committed to providing a safe, effective, child friendly environment. We have 4 junior teams for boys and girls during the summer months – the U9’s, U11’s, U13’s and U15’s. With plenty of opportunity to play in U17 and U19 competitions.

All our coaches are ECB qualified and lead training sessions during the winter and summer months. We’re linked with Ropley Primary School to encourage both boys and girls to participate in the sport.

In the summer the U7’s, U9’s, U11’s and U13’s train on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.00pm, with the U15’s training on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Our U11 girls team trains on a Tuesday evening from 6-7pm, and are also encouraged to come along to the Thursday evening sessions too.

We’re members of Winchester Warriors Junior Cricket, the District Association for junior cricket, and the club is affiliated to the Hampshire Cricket Board. Our junior coaches and junior leaders are DBS checked and we make sure they take part in regular refresher training for coaches.
